An Individual or Organization can apply for National Fitness Hall of Fame induction consideration if they meet the minimum criteria listed below: 

  •  25 or more years of, full-time, service as a professional in the Heath & Fitness Industry.
  • The personal practice of "The Fitness Lifestyle"
  • Genuine concern for the welfare of others.
  • A nationally recognized, "Body of Work."
  • Reached the age of 45.

 
 
 There are six induction categories for The National Fitness Hall of Fame:
  • Pioneers - (Global Leader, Historic Figure, Industry Transforming Invention, etc.)
  • Educators - (University Professor, Lecturer, Presenter, Writer, etc.)
  • Instructors - (Trainer, Group Leader, Video/Infomercial Instruction, Entrepreneurs, etc.)
  • Sports Medicine - (MD, Chiropractor, Therapist, Etc. - Professionals who not only treat individuals but also promotes health & fitness and injury prevention) 
  • Celebrity Spokesperson - (Attained celebrity status in area other than fitness but has a great passion for bringing fitness to the public - Actor, Professional Athlete, Journalist, etc.)
  • Organizations - (Having a national following/membership and fellowship with other fitness organizations)
